What do people think about Baidu's chances of keeping their lead?

Google's found it tough to compete with Baidu. Baidu has a patriotic tone to its portal experience, the design relates with the Chinese easier, and Baidu as a company continues to close the gap in search monetization. The Chinese user also enjoys the "foo -foo ness" experience that Baidu portrays, especially those who are now jumping into the Internet game. Google's route to the market has obviously been through the Universities, metro businesses and now through bundling their toolbar with Chinese shareware firms. I am not sure when or if Google will ever de-throne Baidu. It might be more interesting to analyze how Yahoo has kept its kingdom in Japan and see from that, if Google ever stands a chance with the Asian communities. However, as an advertiser on both engines in China....Baidu is not the easiest to work with at this time compared to Google.
