Forum posting / Directory submission / Article submission /Blog Posting.

Just wanted an opinion.

IMO I'd put lbog posting ahead of everything else. Directory and Article submissions are losing their effectiveness and you must be careful about where you submit - it might be a waste of time. I'd rank forum posting 2nd place after blog posting

I think the Directory submission gives more weightage.

Quality content is the right, albeit indirect answer to your question.

In the list above, I would personally rank these as follows, keeping in mind I am assuming quality content is posted:

1. Blog Posting. (Note: This doesn't equal comment-spamming.)
2. Forum Posting. (Note: This doesn't equal reply-spamming.)
3. Article Submission.*
4. Directory Submission.

* If we are talking about the distribution of a quality, optimised non-duplicate press-release then I would actually rate this much higher. Pure traditional article submission, I'd agree with sjachille.
