I'm new here and I’m kind of confused. I have an ecommerce website, say .Example.co.uk (targeting for UK visitors) and it has PR 6 at the moment.
I really wondered why I am not getting any good search ranking for my site. My site has a good number of quality back links and my competitor site has lesser back links, but still they are getting good search ranking and why not me, they also have a PR 6.
I've been thinking is it related to something difference with SEO for international website? Is there anything that I can do to target UK customers?
OR my product page has more no. of back links than my home page. Is this an issue.
Will it make any difference?
I mean though I have PR 6 and good quality backlines I don't know really
Why my site is not having a rank in google.co.uk search? But my competitor’s site being PR 6 and lesser back links than my site, they rank on 1st page of Google search.

Any SEO Experts can give a valuable info???

Get more back links on relevant sites compared to irrelevant sites..

PR is not the only reason for SERP. There are around 200 factors Google consider for SERP. That is why some webmaster do not care PR at all. High PR means that you have backlinks from higher PR sites. If you do a google query and check the PR of result pages you can see this.
So PR is good if you are selling links. But for SERP, I think you must forget these PR stuff.

There are a lot of factors that I could see here.First, check your keyword density, meta tags, and content of your site relating to the keywords you want to rank well.

basically its depending on your website signature or content, may be your signature is not much attractive thatswhy nobody want to visit. try to catch specific high pr blog or forums.

If you are after traffic and have done both offpage and onpage optimization, try doing a little Adwords for it and continue doing offpage optimization. Once its ranking well, you could slow down the Adwords until such time that you will focus mainly on offpage and onpage optimization.
