Biggest Internet Company can become even more powerfull if after long relations with biggest domain name registrant it will finally buy GoDaddy. The information about domain owner is planned to be used to rank sites and arrange SERPs.

Both Google and Microsoft are already domain registrars - though they don't offer domains for sales as far as I know yet. And certainly Google looks at the domain information as part of its spam protection processes. Doesn't mean to say they won't buy GoDaddy anyway! Andy |

There has been no mention of Google buying godaddy as of yet! I know this is an old post, but Microsoft does allow you to register domains see Microsoft Office Live:
