well, the short answer is yes, but its a far more complicated subject than that - generally certain sites will only accept certain articles from the industries that they specialise in.

Some types of linkbuilding:
- Submission -- directories -- articles -- press releases - Social - Links from authority sites (for example, for msn, if the link is between 2 relatively trusted sites, you will rank regardless of your onsite seo and content) - Link exchange - Link programs - Buying links (it's bad, don't do it) |

May be he meant to ask whether article submission is a way of link building. Probably not, though, but that's what it means literally.

and to get good search results too...
An advantage is that you can sometimes get deep links. It is very time-consuming to do it properly. I would recommend news stories rather than articles as you then get results in News Search too. Have you visited Multilingual PR Forums by WebCertain ? |
