We are often in need of English-Spanish content for international clients. In our experience it is very hard to get good content-writing agencies that do a good job in both languages.

Everything depends on your needs. There are some bilingual companies out there that could give you good content either in English or Spanish but if your goals are set for SEO you need a proper keyword research in both languages as well as keyword rich content generation.

In order to take care of all these needs you need a bilingual SEO company that could provide you with the whole package. Some companies might give you good quality content but not SEO targeted copy, whereas other might give you a good keyword research and SEO compliance in terms of keyword density but not enough linguistic an cultural awareness.

WebCertain has both spanish native speakers versed in linguistics and communication and the general SEO awareness that could cater for your needs.

It also depends on whether the content you want is specialised or just mainstream. Most bilingual agencies would write general content just fine, but for the specialised content, such as car tuning, you will probably need a professional writer in the area and maybe a translator.

I'm not sure I always agree with you. If you are too close to the client you can end up with the same view of the world - when what a client needs is more of a focus on how people search.

A knowledge of the client's business is a good idea - but not too specilist and in-depth as that can be a disadvantage.

I agree. What I meant was that if the site is about cars, you should be able to write about cars and not about employment. General car content would be the results of a F1 race, but still you might need something more technical from time to time, a test of a model, ie, which is still general content but need a more technical language and knowledge. An with that content in hand, our job begins.
