Hi everybody, I'm from Colombia, I have develop a web site to show a services that I offer, it's a simple website with 5 pages.

I have the web site in Spanish and English, but I have a question about SEO and the best structure that would have my page.

1. www.mydomain.com
2. www.en.mydomain.com (English web page)
3. www.es.mydomain.com (Spanish web page)

The idea is that when users access to (1) www.mydomain.com the index.html redirect according to the language to one of my subdomains for e.g www.en.mydomain.com

What do you think about that?

Other question is that the index in www.mydomain.com do not have content because is just a page that detect the language of the browser and redirect the user to an other page, so what happen with the page rank of my principal domain? or each subdomain would have its own page rank?

Hello,
you are talking about a very small website - I would avoid using sub-domains for such a small web presence and would never use an autodetect mechanism to redirect users to different areas of your website.

Simply set up 1 multilingual website with the possibility to choose the languages you make available and concentrate on creating good content
