Microsoft has launched HealthVault, a new medical based search engine which you can save information and perform a self diagnosis much like you see on our
NHS Direct.
Microsoft has been quick to get this product out since Google announced it's version of Google Health Search codenamed "
Weaver".
It would appear that you cannot sign in using your regular passport account which seems a little strange, but I can imagine it is some privacy laws which apply here. It is also completely separate from the "Live" branding which Microsoft has been trying to push on it's internet based services. However when I did a search for Diabetes, it did come up with a Live URL:
https://health.live.com/results.aspx...&focus=&scope=
It looks like they have incorporated "Universal Search" into their results which looks rather nice.
Whilst I think HealthVault will work in the USA where their health service is privatised, I don't think it will catch on in the UK where we have the NHS brand.
