On March 5th there the Italian domain authority (www.nic.it) has rolled out a new procedure that was suppose to make it easier to register TLDs with a .IT extension ..
I was wondering how many of you out there have had bad experiences you might like to voice and what are your average waiting times before the domain name goes live. |

i agree with Achille, registering a .it tld is a pain in the ass.
and nowadays it takes around 4/5 days to register one... ![]() |

Anna and the girls have got it down to a one-day process now but that takes military timing and all the documentation completed up front (she's tough but fair on the clients heh). It also helps that we have a contact at the IT Registry we can phone (and IMO they are one of the most helpful registries in the business).
Many registrars though, like Tucows are still doing them manually which really adds on the time, especially if they have to relay documentation between the parties.
